An east coast native exploring the design world of the west coast.
The opportunity of being a student-athlete at University of the Pacific brought me to California where I graduated in 2019. Most of college was spent competing by day and living in the art building by night.
Recently employed at Kendo Brands—an LVMH company—as a Junior Designer within the packaging department. At Kendo, projects varied in mediums and designs between six in-house brands: Fenty Beauty by Rhianna, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Bite Beauty, KVD Vegan Beauty and Ole Henriksen. Working on six brands taught me how to adapt to different brand visions all while creating new and exciting packaging for each of these cosmetic powerhouses. Think of it as catering to six different children with very different personalities, needs and desires!
Prior I worked as a contract designer in experiential event design for a startup, ‘The Female Quotient.’ Day-to-day involved creating event content and on-brand collateral for large scale lounge experiences at conferences such as Cannes Film Festival and Davos in Switzerland. Aside from this I initiated the creation for packaging and product renders for the companies online Shopify and the marketing collateral and shipping boxes for the companies inaugural college ambassadors program for Fall 2019.
Design has always been an outlet for me, a way to escape into my own creative world, one without limits. For me, design is about more than creating something, it is all about the story and how you express that to consumers/viewers through interaction and engagement. I am a firm believer that a creative adult is a child that survived, as there is never a dull moment with me!
If I am not juggling time between Creative Suite apps, you can find me exploring hole in the wall coffee shops with a vanilla latte in hand, surfing quite terribly or fixing up film photography cameras I found in my grandparents garage..
